It still looks like there is a lot of rust in my tank after doing the bolts in the tank deal with a cleaner. I did get a lot of rust out but, is it ok to red kote it even though it looks so rusty?
any issues with any gas with the sealer ???
Vinegar might be better to wash the inside of the to kill the rust first

š ok I have painted my tank already is this going to causeĀ a problem with that???
wouldn’t you wanna pull the dents before you coat the tank?
So whats the real deal with redkote? I just dropped my tank off today to have done by a man that’s been doing it for 40 years. he swears by the stuff. Then I look online and people say that ethanol blended gas will dissolve it. You then get pink gas and gummed up carbs? Just B.S.??????
sweet man i have the same bike and seems rare but im restoring her
Im restoring a 92 vulcan 750… so when you lined it did you just pour some in and roll it around to coat it? The tank I have was boiled out with acid and still needs to be lined.
