  1. thx for your tip. My one was dropped today. I have same problem.=.=. I just put some thing under the screw so that i can avoid another scratch and do the same thing like you. It works. thank you very much. i suggest use longer hammer or bigger one. My hammer is bigger than yours. it works very well.

  2. I slipped on gravel with my 2015 Ninja 300. found this video with the exact same outcome and it worked. THANKS GIRLY!!

  3. It happened to me today. (>~<) I tried it and I got the lever to work; although, now it's not in its original place, and the scratches are a real problem with me.

  5. Was halfway through taking the whole shifter off when I thought to myself… “ya know, there has to be an easier way.” Came here, glad I did. Didn’t have a hammer in my apartment, so I did it with 3 screwdrivers.

  6. Oh..man. After watch your video….I just did it myself….damn Work!!but not came back at usually shape.but better then not work..!!thanks alots bubby

  7. Tried this and it snapped the rearset…. :/
It’s probably a better idea to just remove the shifter and bend it through other means (maybe by using a bench vise or something)

  8. my friend wrecked mine broke my fairings and my gear shifter also lucky I bent it back works good still and still rides but I learned never ever ever let anyone ride your motorcycle ever not saying u but what I learned unless they got cash in hand to fix it. I was teaching him how to ride and he wrecked it in two seconds of learning . now I’m stuck with 1000 dollars worth of shit to fix. he hit it going 20 and surprisingly it still runs perfect. 2015 Ninja 300 abs is the most reliable bike I have ever had that’s coming from a 650 I downgraded and loving 300 better.so what did I learn well I paid 170 for MSF course so never try to be a teacher as I did next time imma tell people to take the class if they wanna learn.

  9. Yes this definitly works. I laid my bike down goin slow speed in my underground trying to turn in btwn 2 pillars and the exact same thing happened. My shifter got wedged into my bike and I used a hammer to yank it back out but I must warn u a couple weeks later im drivinng and Im trying to come to a stop and my bike wouldnt shift into gear 1 so it had obviously moved back into where the gear shaft was. Be very carefull and make sure you have enough leverage btwn the shifter and the gear shaft!

  10. Going to try this tomorrow. Haven’t even had the darn bike a full week and dropped it at a stop sign after I stalled smh. By a miracle I got it back home because it was downhill the whole way

  11. really really helpful….2017 ninjia 300,same problem…also can work, but not the perfect place.

  12. So i dropped my bike today and the gear shifter is also bent and I wasn’t able to put my bike in neutral and also was not able to feel the clicks when i shifted down or up, so i was stuck riding in like 2nd- 3rd gear i think (i have a 6 speed). Will doing what you did by bending it back fix the issue i have? I’m hoping the damage i did wasn’t so bad. It was dropped while i was coming out my driveway and all of a sudden a car comes into the alleyway and i had to do a sudden stop to avoid hitting him and lost balanced and dropped it.
