2014 Super Street Fighter Track Shootout

2014 Super Street Fighter Track Shootout
For this test, we’re taking some of the baddest liter-class naked streetfighters — the BMW S1000R, Ducati Monster 1200S, Kawasaki Z1000, KTM Super Duke R, and MV Agusta Brutale 1090RR — out to Chuckwalla Valley Raceway for a thorough thrashing. While all these bikes were designed primarily as street bikes, we were pleasantly surprised how well each handled track duties. Which one would we pick to ride to the track, do a trackday, and ride home? Watch the video to find out.

For full details on each bike, read the 2014 Super Streetfighter Smackdown story here: http://www.motorcycle.com/shoot-outs/super-streetfighter-smackdown

  1. Great video guys!

Can anyone give me his opinion about which motorbike to buy? I have in mind the MV Agusta Dragster 800 or the Kawasaki Z1000 ($13500 budget max). I am a tall guy and I feel that the seat position of the Dragster could be a bit uncomfortable to me. However, I saw that the seat height to the ground in both motorbikes are almost the same.
    Thanks everyone!

  2. You guys should do a shootout of supermotos. Not many videos out there comparing them and I love the ones you guys do.

  3. Nice video ! If you do another test for 2016 put these bikes :)))
    Kawasaki Z1000
    Triumph Speed Triple R
    Ducati Monster 1200R
    KTM 1290 Super Duke R
    MV Augusta Brutale 1090RR
    BMW S1000R
    Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory
    Yamaha MT-10
    Honda CB1000R
    Suzuki GSX-S1000

  4. im wondering why ducati has abandoned streetfighter and pushes only monster to the market…1098 had amazing power and looks.

  5. In the real world, who really has a problem with ground clearance with these bikes? These “editors” live in a fantasy world. How about a real review?

  6. I owned an ’08 KTM Superduke. The fueling was terrible. Gearing was too tall, if you shifted to second before 30 mph it would shutter, so I went one tooth smaller in front, but then it was too revvy at sustained freeway speeds. And too small for a normal size guy (6′-2″). KTM seemed to fix most of those things with the SMT. I love and hate KTM, not sure I could do it again.

  7. Hahahhaha the dude almost called his cohosts new motorcycles. I dying, they’re not even new hosts. I’ve seen them before.
